Where It All Started
Long before having my own company, I had a vision of what this company would be. Growing up in upstate New York on one of the most successful farms in that area was truly a growing and learning experience. Responsibility for making sure my jobs were done right forced me to grow up quickly on that farm. “The quality of your work is always measured by the fall harvest.” I learned at a very young age the meaning of “Getting the job done right” I’m very proud of all that I learned growing up on the family farm, which still exists and runs today after seven generations.
After spending two years at a small college studying agronomy and plant science, I moved to Connecticut to begin working for one of the big-name lawn care companies. I eventually worked for two such companies, spending seven years learning the turf business inside and out. My goal was to work hard and learn as much as I could during this time. While working at these two companies, I learned what I wanted to incorporate along with my background, knowledge and work ethic. In February 1989, I started my own company: Tuff Lawn Lawn Service, Inc.
Since 1989, Tuff Lawn Lawn Service, Inc. has grown into one of the most successful independently owned companies in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Each year, my goal is to bring to my customers the highest-quality service, delivered by customer- driven employees at reasonable prices.
Real value is only created when out balance of service, expertise, convenience and price exceeds the expectations of our clients. It’s exactly this kind of added value that we strive to deliver in every service we perform.
